The shoe at a glance.
The Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 is a versatile nylon-plated road shoe that spans everyday training, speed sessions and longer races. It is worth considering if you want one performance-oriented pair that can handle workouts and carry through to a half marathon or marathon. Reduced agility and durability compared with earlier versions are the compromises, especially if those were strengths you valued in the line. The roomier, taller toe box and secure hold are welcome fit features, with regular and wide editions also available.
