Brand specifications

The shoe at a glance.

The Vomero 18 layers ZoomX over ReactX to create a soft, highly cushioned shoe for everyday road mileage and recovery runs. Its unplated construction and generous cushioning make it a candidate when comfort at easy paces is the priority. Wet traction is a weakness, and the toe box can feel restrictive even though the overall interior width is fairly average. Regular and wide versions are available, but the tapered shape means runners who need toe-spreading room should check the front of the shoe carefully.

Pros and cons

Our summary of published testing and reviewer impressions. Checked 2026-10-03.

Pros

Generous cushioning suits relaxed and recovery miles.
The upper feels comfortable immediately.
The platform stays relatively steady for such a tall shoe.

Cons

Its weight and bulk make quicker running less appealing.
The tapered toe area and modest grip deserve attention.
